Buddha came to Fields of Freedom together with Karma and Sutra in the spring of 2016. All three of them were just 1 year old at the time. They had all been rescued from a lamb farm when a worker at the farm had grown close to them. All of them had been orphaned when their mothers had been sent to the slaughterhouse.
The kind-hearted farm worker could not bear the thought of them ending up as lamb meat, so she brought them home with her. But she couldn’t keep them, and again the three lambs’ lives were in danger.
Fields of Freedom was contacted and asked if we could take all of them together – as all of the three sheep they had become close friends and give them a loving and caring forever home.
Buddha is very shy and prefers to keep her distance from any new visitors, but much like Susie, you can build a wonderful friendship with her with some patience. She can always be found sleeping by Tim or Susie’s side in the fields or in the stables.
A favourite food of hers is carrots, which she just loves (preferably cut up into little tasty treat-sized nibbles)
